May 2024 - Relocation from Gloucestershire to South Gloucestershire means I am now registered with the WCPF for judging and lecturing. I am, of course, still very much available to clubs from other federations.

March 2023 - Invited to judge the COBALT HEALTH ORGANISATION'S "Capture a Moment" photography competition for 2023.

May 2021 - Selected to judge Photofolio, a Midlands-wide competition embracing all clubs under the MCPF (Midland Counties Photographic Federation) umbrella.

September 2020 - Back in January before all this Covid mayhem started, I was asked by the MCPF if I would like to be considered for promotion from the Judges' B list to the A list. I am delighted to say that this has now been approved and I can consider myself an A List Judge.

APRIL 2020 - I THINK THE ONLY NEWS ITEM WORTH LISTING RIGHT NOW IS TO WISH EVERYBODY WELL AND TO LOOK FORWARD TO THE TIME - HOPEFULLY NOT TOO FAR AWAY - WHEN THE WORLD IS FREE OF THIS EVIL VIRUS AND WE CAN START TO ENJOY LIFE ONCE MORE. STAY SAFE EVERYBODY.

January 2019 - 50th lecturing booking completed.

2018 - 21 salon acceptances in total.

2017 - 32 salon acceptances in total.

April 2017 - Short lecture to Royal Photographic Society Western Region Highnam Sub-Group on 30th April.

February 2017 – “Strathglass 2” shortlisted for the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year 2016 competition. Unfortunately it didn’t make it to the final awards but will be included in the e-book of the same name. Selector's medal from Diane Owen for "Fenced in by a Frosty Web" plus 3 Highly Commended in Midphot 2017 .

January 2017 – “Glasnakille 2” awarded CAPA Silver Medal in the 123rd Toronto International Salon. After 14 acceptances in 15 different salons over 3 years, finally this image has won something! Persistence or what?

September 2016 - Approached by the Severn Estuary Partnership asking if they could use "The Day's Last Goodbye" in their official documentation. It was eventually published in their newsletter.

2016 - 38 salon acceptances in total.

July 2016 – “Art in Brownshill” exhibition. Steady sales.

June 2016 - Agreement reached with an art consultancy in Paris for use of my images as and when required.

April 2016 – “The Train Arriving at Platform 2…” is awarded an RPS Ribbon in the Creative/Experimental section of the Sydney Harbour International Salon 2016.

March 2016 - "Cuillin" awarded Best Landscape in Midphot 2016 Projected Image section whilst “The Stains of History” is awarded a Highly Commended.

February 2016 - "Cuillin" awarded Commended in the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year 2015.
September 2015 - My first published photograph: "Anyone for Fishing?" was selected by Amateur Photographer as their Online Picture of the Week for w/e 19th September.

July 2015 - Exhibited again in the "Art in Brownshill" exhibition in my local church with some sales success.

March 2015 - Photo Salon Contrast 2015 in Macedonia "Small World" won an IAAP HM Ribbon - well pleased!

October 21st - 25th 2014: Exhibition in the Subscription Rooms, Stroud, entitled "Three Stroud Photographers". My good friend, Annie Blick, and I showed examples of our work alongside historical photographs from the Edwin C Peckham archive of the 1930s and ‘40s. Exhibition went really well with 431 visitors through the door in 5 days and some sales.

July 19-27 2014: Exhibited at the "Art in Brownshill" exhibition in Brownshill, Stroud. Sold a few!

December 2013: I set up my Flickr page which is proving very popular.

October 2013: Attended Midland Counties Photographic Federation judges' seminar which qualifies me to act as a competition and exhibition judge on the MCPF circuit. I am also on the Federation's list of lecturers. I am therefore available to give talks to camera clubs, photographic societies and other organisations in the Midlands area, subject to the usual fees and expenses. See Judging and Lecturing page.

November 2012: Participated in PhotoTalent Exhibition in Gloucester City Museum and Art Gallery; closed on 26th January 2013.
